I found this app years ago when I was doing research on how alternative therapies could help to treat symptoms of PTSD. At the time I was suffering from frequent panic attacks associated with PTSD triggers of my own. My therapist had told me that meditation could help me to learn to be more mindful within the moment and, thus, ideally lessening the severity of the anxiety attacks. Unfortunately I've never been very successful with meditations on my own, and in the midst of an anxiety attack it surely didn't work. The guided feature in this app however, has helped me calm down and come out of a PTSD episode more times than I care to admit. I mostly used the relaxation track to help treat my PTSD and anxiety at first. But I've also downloaded several of the other available tracks. I always try to pick one that's relevant to what is currently stressing me out, and turn it on before I go to bed. When I wake up in the morning I can definitely feel a shift in the energies within my body and a reduced stress response as well. Also, I am a Fitness Professional and Pilates Instructor, and I recommend this app when ever I can to my clients. I believe that the mind-body-spirit connection must be found in order to reach any fitness or health goals.
